Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 8 oz andouille sausage, diced
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp Creole seasoning
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Prepare all your ingredients by dicing the vegetables, slicing the green onions, and cooking the jasmine rice in advance (if not already done).

Step 2

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Step 3

Add the diced andouille sausage to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add 1 more tablespoon of oil and the shrimp. Season the shrimp lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and fully cooked. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
