Ingredients

  • 2 5-ounce cans canned tuna
  • 0.333 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 stalk (finely diced) celery
  • 2 tablespoons (finely diced) red onion
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices bread slices
  • 2 tablespoons (softened) butter
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 small (sliced) tomato (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Drain the canned tuna thoroughly and transfer it to a medium mixing bowl.

Add mayonnaise, diced celery, diced red onion, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well until fully combined.

Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
