Ingredients

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 0.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • 6 leaves fresh basil

Directions

Step 1

Wash the tomatoes and remove the stems. Quarter the tomatoes for easy blending.

Step 2

Peel and roughly chop the onion and the garlic cloves.

Add the tomatoes, onion, garlic, and chicken or vegetable broth to the VitaMix blender.
