Ingredients

  • 400 grams Pasta (e.g., fettuccine or penne)
  • 200 grams Bacon
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 100 grams Spinach (fresh)
  • 0.5 cup Sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest. Set the pasta aside.

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Chop the bacon into small pieces and set aside.

In the same skillet, remove excess bacon grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pan. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and the olive oil to the skillet. Heat over medium heat.
