Ingredients

  • 1 cup Short-grain white rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 4 cups Whole milk
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.125 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.

Step 3

Add the rinsed rice to the boiling water, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes or until the water is mostly absorbed.
