Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 2 cups Milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 1 cup Water
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup
  • 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup Chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cinnamon (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the rolled oats, milk, water, and salt. Stir well to mix the ingredients.

Step 2

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally to prevent the oats from sticking to the bottom.

Step 3

Once the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat to low and let the oats simmer uncovered. Stir frequently until the oats are tender and the mixture becomes creamy, about 5 to 8 minutes.

Step 4

Stir in the vanilla extract and cinnamon at this stage if using; taste and adjust the sweetness with honey or maple syrup.

Step 5

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit for a minute to thicken slightly.

Step 6

Spoon the oatmeal into serving bowls and top generously with fresh raspberries.

Step 7

Optionally, sprinkle with chopped nuts or seeds for added texture.

Step 8

Serve warm and enjoy your creamy raspberry oatmeal.
