Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Bone-in pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 cups Chicken broth
  • 1.5 cups Long-grain white rice
  • 2 tablespoons Ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil and butter. Once melted, sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze and lift up any browned bits. Stir in the ranch seasoning mix and garlic powder.

Step 4

Bring the liquid to a boil, then add the rice. Stir to combine, and place the seared pork chops on top of the rice.

Step 5

Lower the heat to a simmer, cover the skillet, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the pork chops are fully cooked (internal temperature of 145°F/63°C).

Step 6

Once the rice is cooked, pour in the heavy cream and stir gently to combine. Let it simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 7

Remove the skillet from the heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
