  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 pieces garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the pork chops with the salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft and translucent.
