  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 250 milliliters heavy cream
  • 100 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 10 grams fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
  • 120 milliliters pasta cooking water

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 120 milliliters of pasta cooking water before draining, then set the pasta aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes, allowing them to release their flavor.

Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine, and let cook for 3 minutes while stirring occasionally.
