Ingredients

  • 2 large English cucumbers
  • 0.5 medium Red onion
  • 0.75 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon White vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Wash and dry the cucumbers. Peel the cucumbers if desired and thinly slice them into rounds. Place the slices in a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

Peel and thinly slice half of a medium red onion. Add the onion slices to the bowl with the cucumbers.

Step 3

Chop the fresh dill finely and set aside.

Step 4

In a separate small bowl, combine the sour cream, chopped dill, white vinegar, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Step 5

Pour the dressing over the cucumber and onion slices. Gently toss everything together until the cucumber and onion slices are evenly coated with the dressing.

Step 6

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the salad for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 7

Before serving, give the salad a quick toss and taste for seasonings. Adjust with more salt or pepper if necessary.

Step 8

Serve cold as a refreshing side dish with your meal.
