Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 ounces cornbread mix
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 piece egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Season the chicken breasts with 1 teaspoon of salt and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper on both sides.

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
