  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Wash the curly kale thoroughly under cold running water. Trim the tough stems and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch the kale for 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and immediately plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, drain well and set aside.
