Ingredients

  • 100 grams Chicken breast
  • 150 grams Potatoes
  • 50 grams Carrot
  • 120 milliliters Unsalted chicken stock
  • 60 milliliters Whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh parsley (optional, finely chopped)

Directions

Step 1

Peel and dice the potatoes and carrot into small, equal-sized pieces to ensure even cooking.

Step 2

Cut the chicken breast into small cubes for faster cooking and easier blending.

Step 3

In a medium saucepan, heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil over medium heat, and add the diced chicken. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Step 4

In the same saucepan, melt 1 teaspoon of unsalted butter, then add the diced potatoes and carrot. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 5

Pour in the unsalted chicken stock and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let the vegetables simmer for about 15 minutes or until fully tender.

Step 6

Once the vegetables are cooked, return the chicken to the saucepan. Add the whole milk and heat through for 2 minutes, stirring gently.

Step 7

Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly before transferring it to a blender or food processor.

Step 8

Blend the mixture until smooth, adding a little more milk or stock if needed to reach your desired consistency.

Step 9

Taste to ensure it's mild and suitable for a baby (no added salt or strong spices).

Step 10

Divide the puree into baby-safe portions and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley if desired (for older babies). Serve warm, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to 1 month.
