Ingredients

  • 500 grams chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 medium carrot
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 150 grams broccoli
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 500 milliliters chicken broth
  • 400 milliliters milk
  • 200 milliliters heavy cream
  • 1 whole bay leaf
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2

Season the chicken with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the chicken pieces to the pot and brown them on all sides. Remove and set aside.

Step 5

Dice the onion and slice the carrots into rounds. Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes.

Add the onion to the pot and sauté until translucent.

Add the carrots and potatoes to the pot, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes.

Cut the broccoli into small florets and set aside.
