Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 cup chopped parsley
  • 0.25 cup chopped chives
  • 0.5 cup crushed pecans or walnuts
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 sheet plastic wrap

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Use a hand mixer or spoon to thoroughly blend the ingredients until smooth and fully incorporated.

Step 2

On a clean surface, place a large sheet of plastic wrap. Transfer the cream cheese mixture onto the plastic wrap and roughly shape it into a log.

Step 3

Wrap the plastic wrap around the mixture, shaping and smoothing it into a firm log. Twist the ends of the plastic wrap to secure the shape.

Step 4

Refrigerate the cheese log for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to allow it to firm up and for the flavors to meld together.

Step 5

Once chilled, remove the cheese log from the refrigerator. In a shallow dish, mix the chopped parsley, chives, and crushed pecans (or walnuts).

Step 6

Unwrap the cheese log from the plastic wrap and gently roll it in the herb and nut mixture, pressing lightly to coat it evenly on all sides.

Step 7

Transfer the finished cream cheese log to a serving platter. Serve with crackers, bread slices, or vegetable sticks of your choice.
