Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated but do not overwork the mixture.

Step 2

Cut the cream cheese into small cubes, about 1/2 teaspoon each, and set aside.

Step 3

Take a portion of the meat mixture (about 2 tablespoons) and flatten it into your palm to form a small disc.

Step 4

Place a cube of cream cheese in the center of the disc and carefully wrap the meat around it, sealing the edges completely to form a ball.

Step 5

Repeat with the remaining meat mixture and cream cheese cubes until all meatballs are formed.

Step 6

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 7

Add the meatballs to the skillet, being careful not to overcrowd, and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, turning to ensure even browning.

Step 8

Once the meatballs are browned, transfer them to a baking dish.

Step 9

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the meatballs in the oven for an additional 15 minutes to ensure they are cooked through.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your cream cheese-filled meatballs as an appetizer or serve with your favorite sauce and side dishes.
