Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 8 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Additional granulated sugar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish lightly with non-stick cooking spray or butter.

Step 2

Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the base layer. Pinch any seams together if necessary.

Step 3

In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and the vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough layer in the baking dish.

Step 5

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cream cheese mixture, stretching the dough gently to cover the filling. Pinch any seams together.

Step 6

Melt the butter and pour it evenly over the top layer of crescent dough.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Sprinkle this cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the buttered top layer.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and puffed.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the baking dish before slicing.

Step 10

Cut into squares or bars and serve. These can be enjoyed at room temperature or chilled.
