  • 0.33 cup Softened unsalted butter (for filling)
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese
  • 1.5 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons Milk (for frosting)

Directions

Step 1

Warm the milk in a small saucepan until it reaches about 110°F (warm but not hot). Remove from heat and stir in the butter until melted. Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

Add the sugar and yeast to the warm milk mixture. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until the yeast becomes foamy.

Add 3 cups of flour and the salt to the bowl. Mix well with a wooden spoon or a mixer with the dough hook attached. Add the egg and continue mixing until combined.
