Ingredients

  • 225 grams Cream cheese
  • 150 grams Smoked salmon
  • 1 medium Cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 12 slices Sliced bread (white or whole grain)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, finely chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Step 2

Using a vegetable peeler, slice the cucumber into thin ribbons or rounds. Set aside.

Step 3

Cut the crusts off the bread slices to create neat squares or rectangles. Align the slices for easy trimming.

Step 4

Spread an even layer of the cream cheese mixture onto one side of each bread slice.

Step 5

Place a piece of smoked salmon over the cream cheese on half of the bread slices. Top the salmon with cucumber ribbons or slices.

Step 6

Cover the salmon and cucumber layers with the remaining bread slices, cream cheese side down, to form sandwiches.

Step 7

Using a sharp knife, cut each sandwich into quarters to create small squares or triangles.

Step 8

Arrange the sandwiches on a serving platter and garnish with small sprigs of dill, if desired.

Step 9

Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
