Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh cranberries
  • 0.5 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Yellow mustard seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Ground mustard powder
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the cranberries under cold water and discard any that are damaged or soft.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, apple cider vinegar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and softened.

Step 4

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.

Step 5

Transfer the cranberry mixture to a blender or food processor. Add the brown sugar, yellow mustard seeds, mustard powder, honey, and salt.

Step 6

Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

Step 7

Transfer the cranberry mustard to a jar or airtight container and let it cool completely before sealing.

Step 8

Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before use to allow the flavors to meld. The mustard will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
