Ingredients

  • 12 pieces jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined, tail-on)
  • 8 ounces lump crabmeat
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (chopped)
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

Step 2

Butterfly each shrimp by making a deep cut along the back without cutting all the way through. Gently press to flatten and arrange them in the prepared baking dish.

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, combine the lump crabmeat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to maintain the crabmeat's texture.

Step 4

Spoon a portion of the crabmeat mixture onto the back of each butterflied shrimp, pressing lightly to secure the stuffing.

Step 5

Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the stuffed shrimp, then sprinkle paprika on top for color.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and the stuffing is golden and set.

Step 7

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
