Ingredients

  • 250 grams lump crab meat
  • 115 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 30 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 loaf baguette or French bread
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick rounds and arrange them on a large baking sheet.

Step 3

Brush each slice lightly with olive oil on both sides. Toast the slices in the oven for 5 minutes until lightly golden, then set aside.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.

Step 5

Gently fold in the lump crab meat, green onions, and Parmesan cheese. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much to retain its texture.

Step 6

Spoon a generous amount of the crab mixture onto each toasted baguette round, spreading it evenly.

Step 7

Return the baking sheet with the prepared rounds to the oven and bake for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the topping is warmed through and lightly bubbling.

Step 8

For a golden finish, broil the rounds on high for 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

Step 9

Remove from the oven, let cool for 1-2 minutes, and serve warm. Garnish with extra chopped green onions or a sprinkle of smoked paprika if desired.
