Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1.5 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 oz cooked lump crab meat
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Step 3

Add the cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and release some of their juices.

Step 4

Stir in the crab meat, lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until warmed through.

Step 5

Add the cooked linguine and broccoli to the skillet, tossing to coat everything evenly in the sauce. If the mixture seems dry, stir in some of the reserved pasta water one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Step 6

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the pasta.

Step 7

Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
