Ingredients

  • 1 piece Pre-made pie crust
  • 2 cups Fresh spinach
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Fresh lump crab meat
  • 1 cup Shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 4 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Whole milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground nutmeg

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Place the pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it evenly into the dish. Trim and crimp the edges as desired.

Step 3

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the spinach and sauté until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 4

Spread the spinach evenly across the bottom of the pie crust. Top with the lump crab meat, distributing it evenly. Sprinkle the shredded Gruyère cheese over the crab and spinach.

Step 5

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, black pepper, and ground nutmeg until well combined.

Step 6

Pour the egg mixture over the spinach, crab, and cheese, ensuring an even distribution.

Step 7

Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is lightly golden.

Step 8

Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
