Ingredients

  • 1 round loaf of sourdough bread
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 8 oz lump crab meat
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Carefully cut the top off the round loaf of sourdough bread and hollow out the center to create a bowl. Save the top and the bread pieces for dipping.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Step 4

Add in the shredded cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, lump crab meat, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (if using), garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.

Step 5

Spoon the crab dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl, spreading it evenly.

Step 6

Place the filled bread bowl on a baking sheet. Arrange the top of the bread and the hollowed-out pieces around the bowl for toasting, if desired.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Step 8

Carefully remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Step 9

Serve warm with the toasted bread pieces, crackers, or vegetable sticks for dipping.
