Ingredients

  • 1 cup Lump crab meat
  • 1 cup Asparagus
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus spears and chop them into small pieces, approximately 1/2-inch in size.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the asparagus pieces for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 4

In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy using a hand mixer or a spatula.

Step 5

Fold in the grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce (if using). Stir until evenly combined.

Step 6

Gently fold in the sautéed asparagus and lump crab meat, being careful not to break apart the crab too much.

Step 7

Transfer the mixture to a greased 1-quart baking dish or an oven-safe skillet. Spread it evenly.

Step 8

Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the dip is bubbling and golden on top.

Step 9

Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 10

Serve warm with bread, crackers, or fresh vegetable slices for dipping.
