  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Pat the beef chuck roast dry with paper towels, then season generously with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper on all sides.

In a large Dutch oven or heavy-duty oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
