Ingredients

  • 0.5 cups hazelnuts
  • 0.5 cups almonds
  • 0.25 cups sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 0.5 cups extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 serving freshly baked bread or sliced veggies (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a dry skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Toast the hazelnuts and almonds in the skillet, stirring frequently, for 5-7 minutes or until lightly browned and fragrant. Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool.

Step 3

In the same skillet, toast the sesame seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and fennel seeds for 2-3 minutes until aromatic. Be careful not to burn them.

Step 4

Once the nuts are cool, place them in a food processor. Pulse the nuts a few times until they are roughly chopped but not too fine – you want a coarse texture.

Step 5

Add the toasted seeds, paprika, sea salt, and black pepper to the processor. Pulse a few times to combine, ensuring the texture remains chunky.

Step 6

Transfer the dukkah mixture to a serving dish or jar.

Step 7

To serve, pour the olive oil into a shallow bowl and swirl in 2-3 tablespoons of the dukkah. Dip freshly baked bread or veggies into the flavorful mix and enjoy!

Step 8

Store any leftover dukkah in an airtight jar for up to 2 weeks.
