Directions

Step 1

In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

Drain the excess bacon grease from the pot, leaving about 1 tablespoon for flavor. Add the butter and allow it to melt.
