  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium carrot, finely diced

  • 500 grams minced beef

  • 250 milliliters beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 100 grams frozen peas
  • 1 kilogram sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 30 grams parmesan cheese, grated
  • 0 to taste salt
  • 0 to taste black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan or gas mark 6).

Step 2

In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery. Cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.

Step 4

Add the minced beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Stir in the smoked paprika and tomato paste, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Pour in the beef stock and Worcestershire sauce, and stir well to combine.

Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce and the flavors to develop.
