Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon butter (for greasing)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

Grease a baking dish (approximately 8 inches in diameter) with butter to prevent the custard from sticking.

Step 3

In a blender, combine the cottage cheese, eggs, whole milk, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Step 4

Pour the blended mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Step 5

Place the baking dish in a larger roasting pan. Carefully pour hot water into the roasting pan until it comes halfway up the sides of the baking dish to create a water bath for baking.

Step 6

Transfer the roasting pan to the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the custard is set and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 7

Carefully remove the baking dish from the water bath and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.

Step 8

Serve warm or chilled, optionally garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or fresh fruit.
