Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups corn flakes cereal
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0 as desired optional sprinkles or chocolate drizzle

Directions

Step 1

Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large pot, melt the unsalted butter over medium-low heat.

Step 3

Once the butter has melted, add the mini marshmallows to the pot. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.

Step 4

Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

Step 5

Add the corn flakes cereal to the pot and gently fold them into the marshmallow mixture until all the cereal is coated.

Step 6

Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon (greased lightly with butter or cooking spray) to press the mixture evenly into the pan. Be gentle to avoid crushing the cereal.

Step 7

If desired, add sprinkles or drizzle melted chocolate over the top for extra decoration.

Let the corn flake treats cool and set at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
