Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground chicken
  • 6 slices Cooked ham slices
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese slices
  • 100 grams Breadcrumbs
  • 60 ml Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 50 grams Flour
  • 2 Eggs (for coating)
  • 150 grams Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, regular breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Step 3

Spread half of the chicken mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared loaf pan.

Step 4

Layer the ham slices over the chicken mixture, followed by the Swiss cheese slices, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

Step 5

Spread the remaining chicken mixture over the cheese layer, pressing it down firmly to create a compact loaf.

Step 6

Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.

Step 7

While the loaf bakes, prepare the breading station: set up three plates or shallow bowls—one with the flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with the panko breadcrumbs.

Step 8

After 30 minutes, remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool slightly. Carefully remove the loaf from the pan and slice it into thick portions.

Step 9

Coat each slice of the loaf in flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it generously in panko breadcrumbs.

Step 10

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, fry each coated slice until golden brown and crispy on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 11

Serve the slices warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. Pair with a side salad or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
