Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment to beat the unsalted butter on medium speed until smooth, creamy, and pale, about 2-3 minutes.

Gradually add in the powdered sugar, about 1/3 at a time, mixing on low speed until fully incorporated after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to ensure even mixing.
