Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Lay the chicken breasts flat on a cutting board and season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Cut the cream cheese into 4 equal pieces, then place one piece in the center of each chicken breast.

Step 4

Wrap each chicken breast tightly with 2 slices of bacon, ensuring the cream cheese is enclosed and secure. Use toothpicks if needed to keep the bacon in place.

Step 5

Heat olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Once hot, sear the chicken breasts on both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side until the bacon is lightly browned.

Step 6

Remove the skillet from the heat and carefully pour the chicken broth into the skillet. Do not pour directly over the chicken breasts to avoid washing off the seasoning.

Step 7

Cover the skillet with aluminum foil and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 8

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to crisp up the bacon.

Step 9

Once done, remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 10

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, and serve alongside your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes or a fresh green salad.
