Ingredients

  • 1 inch (sliced) Fresh ginger root
  • 1 whole (sliced) Lemon
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 whole Cinnamon stick
  • 0.5 teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 4 cups Hot water

Directions

Step 1

Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin pieces.

Step 2

Slice the lemon into even rounds, reserving one slice for garnish if desired.

Step 3

In a medium pot, add the sliced ginger, lemon slices (except the garnish), cinnamon stick, turmeric powder, and a pinch of black pepper.

Pour in 4 cups of hot water and bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.
