  • 1 medium, diced Yellow bell pepper
  • 1 cup, boiled Green peas
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 slit lengthwise Green chilies
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 to taste Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Cilantro (coriander leaves)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Heat oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Step 3

Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the raw aroma disappears.

Step 4

Stir in the minced mutton and cook on high heat for 5-7 minutes until it changes color and any water released by the meat evaporates.

Step 5

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the mutton evenly with the spices.

Step 6

Add the chopped tomatoes and cook on medium heat until the tomatoes become soft and blend into the mixture, about 7-8 minutes.

Step 7

Add the diced bell peppers (green, red, and yellow) and boiled green peas. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes to retain the crunch and color of the vegetables.

Step 8

Lower the heat and sprinkle garam masala over the mixture. Stir well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Step 9

Turn off the heat and garnish with chopped cilantro and a drizzle of lemon juice for added freshness.

Step 10

Serve hot with naan, paratha, or steamed basmati rice.
