Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Ground beef (80/20)
  • 0.5 pounds Ground pork
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, parsley, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix gently with your hands or a sturdy spatula until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat mixture.

Step 3

Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan. Press it down gently and shape it into an even loaf, leaving a little space around the edges for even cooking.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to make the glaze.

Step 5

Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 55 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread the remaining glaze on top.

Step 7

Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 8

Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.

Step 9

Slice and serve warm with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes and green beans. Enjoy!
