Remove the silver skin membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and set aside.
In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this spice mixture thoroughly over both sides of the ribs.
