In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Whisk these ingredients together until evenly mixed.
Add warm milk and one large egg to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough begins to form.
Add 50 grams of unsalted butter to the dough. Knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
While the dough is rising, prepare the topping by dissolving 10 grams of instant coffee powder in 2 tablespoons of hot water. Allow it to cool.
In a separate bowl, beat 50 grams of unsalted butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the dissolved coffee, vanilla extract, and 1 large egg to the butter mixture. Mix well.
Sift cake flour into the mixture and fold gently until you have a smooth batter. Transfer the topping batter to a piping bag and set aside.
Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down to release the air. Divide it into 8 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
Insert a small cube of butter (from the 50 grams of filling butter) into the center of each dough ball and seal the dough around it.
Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover, and let them rest for 15 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Pipe the coffee topping in a spiral pattern on top of each bun, starting from the center and working outward.
Bake the buns in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
