  • 250 grams All-purpose flour
  • 50 grams Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 7 grams Instant yeast
  • 120 ml Warm milk
  • 50 grams Unsalted butter
  • 1 large Egg
  • 50 grams Unsalted butter (filling)
  • 10 grams Instant coffee powder
  • 2 tablespoons Hot water
  • 50 grams Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 50 grams Cake flour
  • 1 large Egg (topping)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Whisk these ingredients together until evenly mixed.

Step 2

Add warm milk and one large egg to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough begins to form.

Step 3

Add 50 grams of unsalted butter to the dough. Knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Step 5

While the dough is rising, prepare the topping by dissolving 10 grams of instant coffee powder in 2 tablespoons of hot water. Allow it to cool.

In a separate bowl, beat 50 grams of unsalted butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the dissolved coffee, vanilla extract, and 1 large egg to the butter mixture. Mix well.
