Ingredients

  • 250 grams All-purpose flour
  • 125 grams Unsalted butter
  • 60 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons Cold water
  • 250 grams Desiccated coconut
  • 1 can (approximately 397 grams) Sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 120 milliliters Milk
  • 1 pinch Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a 23cm (9-inch) tart pan.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and granulated sugar. Cut the unsalted butter into small cubes and rub it into the flour mixture using your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Step 3

Add the egg yolk and cold water to the flour mixture and mix until it forms a dough. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
