  • 1 teaspoons Cooking oil (for greasing)

Directions

Step 1

In a small pan over medium heat, add the fresh grated coconut and jaggery. Stir continuously until the jaggery melts and combines with the coconut to form a sticky filling, approximately 5-7 minutes.

Step 2

Add cardamom powder and sesame seeds (if using) to the coconut-jaggery mixture. Stir well and set aside to cool.

Step 3

In a mixing pot, bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil. Add salt and gradually stir in the rice flour, mixing well until a soft, non-sticky dough forms. Remove from heat and let it cool until it is safe to handle.

Grease your hands with a small amount of cooking oil and knead the rice dough for 1-2 minutes to ensure it is smooth and pliable.
