Ingredients

  • 250 grams Shrimp (peeled, deveined, and chopped)
  • 60 ml Coconut cream
  • 50 grams Shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 2 Green onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 30 Wonton wrappers
  • 1 Egg (beaten, for sealing the wontons)
  • 500 ml Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 100 ml Sweet chili sauce (for dipping, optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, coconut cream, shredded coconut, green onion, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 2

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Add about 1 teaspoon of the shrimp filling to the center of the wrapper.

Brush the edges of the wonton wrapper lightly with beaten egg using a pastry brush.

Fold the wrapper diagonally to form a triangle, pressing the edges tightly to seal. You can pleat the edges for extra security, if desired.
