Ingredients

  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 12 ounces tuna (canned, in water)
  • 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 0.5 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 0.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

While the noodles are cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Step 4

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until smooth.

Step 5

Flake the tuna and fold it into the soup mixture along with the cooked onions, cooked egg noodles, and frozen peas. Mix everything together until well combined.

Step 6

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the tuna mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly.

Step 7

In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the breadcrumb topping is golden brown.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
