  • 1 lb Flank steak (or sirloin steak)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper
  • 1 medium Yellow onion
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Coca Cola (regular, not diet)
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp Scallions (optional, sliced thinly for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Slice the flank steak into thin strips against the grain. Pat the pieces dry using paper towels, then season them with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 2

Wash and core the bell peppers. Slice the red and green bell peppers into thin strips. Peel and slice the yellow onion into similar-sized strips.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water together to create a slurry. Set aside.
