Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Chicken thighs
  • 1 can (12 oz) Coca Cola
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel and set them aside.

Step 2

Peel and mince the garlic and ginger. Thinly slice the green onions, separating the white and green parts.

Step 3

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the chicken thighs to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and sauté the minced garlic, ginger, and the white parts of the green onions for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the Coca Cola, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, tomato ketchup, and sesame oil. Stir to combine.
