Step 1

Start by washing the clover flowers thoroughly to remove any dirt or insects.

In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

Add the clover flowers to the boiling water, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 20 minutes to infuse the water with the clover essence.

Strain the clover flowers out of the liquid using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth, ensuring you extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the flowers.

Step 5

Return the infused liquid to the saucepan and add the sugar and lemon juice.

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar completely dissolves.

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer gently, stirring occasionally, for 30–40 minutes, or until the liquid thickens to a syrup-like consistency.
