Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the milk and butter. Warm until the butter is fully melted but do not bring to a boil. Let it cool until lukewarm (approximately 110-115°F or 43-46°C).

In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, until the mixture becomes foamy.
