Ingredients

  • 2.5 oz Vodka
  • 0.5 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 1 cup Ice cubes
  • 1 piece Lemon twist or olive

Directions

Step 1

Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink.

Step 2

In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, combine the vodka and dry vermouth.

Step 3

Add the ice cubes to the shaker or mixing glass.

Step 4

Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well-chilled. If using a shaker, you can also shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Step 5

Discard the ice water from the martini glass and strain the vodka martini into the chilled glass.

Step 6

Garnish with a lemon twist by twisting it over the drink to express the oils, then drop it into the glass. Alternatively, you can garnish with an olive.

Step 7

Serve immediately and enjoy your classic vodka martini.
