Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground pork
  • 1 cup Cabbage
  • 2 whole Green onions
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 40 pieces Dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the cabbage and place it in a large bowl.

Step 2

Slice the green onions and mince the ginger and garlic, adding all to the bowl with the cabbage.

Step 3

Add the ground pork to the bowl along with soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4

Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.

Step 5

Take one dumpling wrapper and place it on a clean, dry surface. Use a wet finger to moisten the edge of the wrapper.

Step 6

Scoop about 1 teaspoon of the pork filling into the center of the wrapper.

Step 7

Fold the wrapper in half to enclose the filling and press the edges together to seal. Ensure there are no air pockets. Pleat the edges if desired.

Step 8

Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Step 9

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Step 10

Once hot, place the pot stickers in the skillet flat side down, ensuring they do not touch.

Step 11

Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.

Step 12

Reduce the heat to medium and carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, covering immediately to trap the steam.

Step 13

Steam the pot stickers for about 5-6 minutes, or until the water evaporates.

Step 14

Remove the lid and let them cook for another 1-2 minutes to crisp up the bottoms again.

Step 15

Repeat the process with the remaining pot stickers, adding more oil as needed.

Step 16

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
